With a rare day to myself, I set out on a photo adventure across Vermont and New Hampshire. I began in Bradford, Vermont, crossing over to Haverhill, New Hampshire, followed Route 10 to 302, and landed in Bath. Then I traveled east onto 117 to Sugar Hill.

The morning began with a delicious breakfast at 4 Aces Diner in West Lebanon with my husband. I saw two ads on my paper placemat. One for The Brick Store in Bath, and the other for Harman’s Cheese and Country Store in Sugar Hill.

I lived on Goshen Road in Bradford from 2013-2016. Its gorgeous views and weathered structures conjure ghosts of my past living in this area of Vermont that remain in a tender corner of my heart. Here are some shots from the first leg of my trip.

We came across a church and small bridge on Scott Road.
